NC Choices for Youth is a not-for-profit educational organization that:

Helps young people find civilian opportunities for service, adventure, training and jobs
Works to dispel myths and misinformation about joining the military
Challenges young people to consider whether participation in war would be consistent with their deepest beliefs
Gives guidance for documenting conscientious objection to military service

A Different Way to Make Music

North Carolina offers more than one option to those interested in studying Luthiery—guitar making. The LA Guitar Factory has a luthiery program. They offer three classes covering the basics of guitar design and maintenance as well as familiarity with woodworking relating to the craft of guitar building. Each class costs $150-$400.
